Premier commissions and tests new industries and power plants, taking units from mechanical completion through to reliable operation. Work includes commissioning and testing activities on large thermal units and the systematic handover that follows.
Commissioning is staffed by the same discipline mix used in Premier's O&M contracts — mechanical, electrical, C&I and operation crews working together — which means the team that commissions an asset is experienced in the conditions under which it will actually be operated.
The company also provides operation assistance for coal handling plants, BTG and BOP during the stabilisation period following commissioning, and has provided commissioning, operation and maintenance services for boiler and material handling systems.
